Grantham, Cowes to Baroness Grantham, Wrest Park Frederick has visited, in order to settle his affairs before he sees Lord Buckinghamshire, [father of his future wife, Sarah Albinia Louisa; married September 1814]. He has made arrangements for him to have £10,000, or the interest of £500 p.a. He gave him an income when he came into Parliament, amounting to £700 p.a., including the income from his estate and tithes. His Aunt Lucas will add £300 p.a. more, and including his own £1500 will amount to £20,000, and his wife's income of £25,000. Discusses the present they are to get the bride, and he thinks something useful, rather than ornamental would be preferable, however his wife disagrees.
