- TitleGrantham, Oxford to Baroness Grantham, Whitehall, London After they parted they went to Eton, collected Alfred, and proceeded to Park Place. The assembled company were Lady Newark, Miss Pierrepont, Miss Godfrey and Mr Culvenden. After dinner they went walking, and he took the young ladies to the seat on Mile Hill Terrace. The next day after prayers they showed Kempsthorne the grounds and went bathing. They had a syllabub after dinner which made Lord Malmesbury extremely sick. They have explored the city, and seen Christchurch Hall Chapel and Library, the Bodleian Library, and a few other colleges. They are going to Blenheim tomorrow, and they plan to continue on to Warwick. By Wednesday they should have reached Birmingham. Mentions their carriage is extremely comfortable.
