Informs he has spoken with Sir Robert Peel on the matter, and reports, "He is quite aware that the subject of Education in Ireland is a matter of primary and permanent concern, but in proportion to it's importance, is the necessity of exercising caution and deliberation." Asks him to use his influence on the clergy to allow time for the issues to be considered.
