    Indictment and Presentments: 'The jurors for our Sovereign Lord the King upon their oath present that William Barnes otherwise called William Emery late of the parish of Keysoe in the County of Bedford labourer on the twenty-seventh day of August in the fifty-ninth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King over the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland with force and arms at the parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid one cloth coat of the value of twelve shillings one cloth waistcoat of the value of four shillings and one pair of leather breeches of the value of sixteen shillings of the goods and chattels of one John Peck then and there being found did feloniously steal take and carry away against tahe peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and dignity.' Plea: Not Guilty. Verdict: Guilty. Witnesses John Peck, Sarah Peck, Richard Lane and Stephen Prior, constable.
