  • Title
Grantham, St. James's to Fitzherbert, Paris (No 37, draft) On the subject of the distrust which M. D'Aranda has pointed out to Fitzherbert and which is marked on the survey which was sent in Fitzherbert's dispatch. Fitzherbert's observations are "perfectly just". M. del Campo will be able to enter into negotiation of this particular point rather than M. de Heredia. Orders were dispatched to such parts of the coasts that might have British settlers, that they should not be disturbed, and this conforms to what was agreed between Fitzherbert and M. D'Aranda. Language of the ambassador on the other topic mentioned in Fitzherbert's dispatch "perfectly inadmissible".
