Grantham, St. James's to Fitzherbert, Paris (No 31, draft) Post Master General has applied to get the passage for mail open between Dover and Calais and will correspond with the Post Master at Paris. Grantham has communicated to the Directors of the Bank the information which Fitzherbert sent about Clutterbuck. Fitzherbert did well in discountenancing the propositions made by the Dutch Plenipotentiaries concerning an equivalent or exchange for Negapatnan.
