  • Title
Trevor, Paris to Grantham The Elector continued "perfectly well the 7th inst". In April the Elector will go to the Palatinate and it will be decided in the meantime whether to send him to the waters of Spa, Aix or elsewhere. After "His late attack, at his Age and with His Habit of Body" and his "very small share of Personal Prudence", Trevor thinks the Elector in very critical situation. Trevor does not in any of the promotions he has heard of see any opening to which he might aspire and some of the situations he would be obliged to decline on account of wife's delicate health. His appointment at the Palatinate Court is very inadequate financially. He has a net revenue of between eleven and twelve hundred pounds. During his residence in Germany he has spent nearly four thousand pounds of his own fortune. Requests a rise in rank.
