Paris. Had left the orig. sketch with Lady Grenville for the purpose of taking the King's pleasure upon it through Madame de Montjoye. Then had second letter, and gave instructions to M. Sallandrouze who needed to see first sketch. Wrote to Lady Grenville and had in reply enclosed letter from Henry Grenville. The situation is embarrassing as King has sent sketch to works to be made.
