    Attested Copy Probate of Will of William Linnell, late of Cranford St.Andrew, farmer, deceased - to his friends Joseph Chettle of Kettering [Northamptonshire], grocer and Thomas Jones of Grafton Underwood [Northamptonshire], farmer, 1,750 upon trusts as below: - the money to be placed out at interest, the profits etc. to be paid to his wife Susannah Linnell; - upon death of Susannah Linnell the principal sum of 1,750 to be divided among his children; - to his wife 350; - to his son William Linnell 1,800 on becoming 21; - to his son John Linnell 2,400 on becoming 21; - to his son George Linnell 2,400 on becoming 21; - to his son James Linnell 2,400 on becoming 21; - to his daughter Susannah Linnell 1,400 on becoming 21 or marrying younger; - to his daughter Mary Ann Linnell 1,400 on becoming 21 or marrying younger; - to his daughter Caroline Linnell 1,400 on becoming 21 or marrying younger; - the legacies to be reduced proportionately if the mortgages he had lent were not fully recovered; - trustees to use interest on the portion of each child for maintenance while below the age of 21 or, if a girl, unmarried; - his household goods to his wife and son William equally; - his carpenter's tools equally between his sons William and John; - residue of his personal property to his son William; - Joseph Chettle and Thomas Jones to be executors; - his wife, Joseph Chettle and Thomas Jones to be guardians of the children; - to Joseph Chettle and Thomas Jones in trust all real estate vested in him by way of mortgage; - witnesses: John Smith of Cranford St.John, farmer; John Askew of Cranford St.Andrew, grocer; Richard Toller, clerk to Mr.Lamb, solicitor of Kettering - copy taken by Richard Toller and H.J.J.Nettleship on 30 Aug 1823; - note of proof in Northampton Consistory Court on 21 Feb 1823
