Examinations and depositions: Sam. Kirkby, Henlow, yeo. Michael Paternoster, Henlow, labr., lifted up one of the sash windows of his house, intending to steal. Evidence of Wm. Willton, Henlow, labr. Slept in the house of his master, Sam. Kirkby, when he was away from home. He and his wife were disturbed in bed by Mich. Paternoster who was trying to lift the sash window. When Willton went to the window Paternoster quickly descended the ladder which he had placed against the window. Evidence of Jane Willton; similar to husband Wm. She also saw Paternoster go down the stairs in her master's house at 6 a.m. the following morning.
