He was on duty at Highlands, Campton when he saw 2 men run from Nr Osburn's close and across the river into Mr Francis Samuel ainsworth's fileds at meppershall. The field was planted with mangold wurzels. They also went through a field of oats. Sergeant Daniels identified George Victor Ashton, Labourer of Shillington. Fine 6d. Damage 6d. Costs 9/6.
