Information of Thomas Berrington, Bricklayer of Tempsford. Robert Chamberlain and his wife Hester came to his house and asked for a lamp bottom that he had bought from him previously. Berrington offered him 1/- for it. Chamberlain tried to light his cigar at the lamp but Berrington's wife stopped him and told him to light it at the candle. Chamberlain took the hot globe off the lamp and blew the candle out and tried to throw it over Berrington. The lamp fell on the floor and was broken. Berrington put Chamberlain out of his house but he forced Berrington on to the fence and held his throat. Berrington's daughter pulled him off.
