    Folio 108d - Mary Mowsse of Marston Morntayne made 30 Apr. pr. 15 June 1557. Soul to Almighty God, our blessed lady St. Mary and all the holy company of heaven, and body to be buried in church yard of Our Lady in Marston. To the high altar of Marston for tithes forgotten 4d.; to mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the highway 4d.. To son John Mowsse part of the price of a horse which is to be sold “to bringe me honestly to the errthe” and he to have what remains. Son John to have also a store hog, a table and a bedstead, and he is to pay for the probate of the will. To daughter Agnes a brass pan with a chafing dish of latten. To daughter Joane a brass kettle, a great coffer, a cover of a bed, a pair of sheets and a bolster. To daughter Alis a brass kettle, a mattress, a bolster, a pair of sheets, the best cover of a bed and the hangings about the bed, 2 pewter platters, a bedstead, testator’s old cupboard and a ewe and a lamb. To daughter Jone a “puge”, a platter, a pewter pot and a candlestick. To daughter Katheryne a brass pot, a platter, a candlestick, 2 pair of sheets with a pillow and an old coffer, a tub and a “cheffant”. All unbequeathed implements in the house to son Thomas Mowsse who is sole executor, and son John Mowsse to be overseer. Witnesses Thomas Odill, Thomas Franklyn.
