    Folio 101d - William Ryslaye of Barford made 28 June 1557, pr.16 Sept. 1557. Soul to merciful hands of almighty God, our lady St. Mary and all the holy company of heaven, and burial in parish church yard of All Saints of Barforth at the chancel end. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 12d.; to church 13s. 4d.. To Ryce Piggot 40s.; and to Robert Wilshire 20s.. To Agnes Marret 13s. 4d.. To John Canon 6s. 8d.. Testator owes William Canon 16s. and he owes Mr. Fayrtlo 12d. and he owes Richard Wilshire the elder 12d..To Goodman Berry of Clyfton the money for 3 quarters of corn, and it is to be paid before the feast of All Saints next coming. To eldest son Richard Reysly one acre of corn (3 lands to the acre), and the red steer and one “troye” of yarn and testator’s wife to deliver it when he comes to the age of 14 and one “torble” to my son Richard to be delivered at the age of 14. To William Reysley testator’s youngest son three iron [?]wedges which wife to have the use of, and to William also a quarter of corn and one weaned brown calf and a brass pot of 4 gallons. To daughter Margeret Reysley a brown cow called Redy Nayned one quarter of barley, one black ewe, a pair of sheets, one pewter charger. To daughter Elizabeth Reysley one red cow calf and one quarter of barley, one pair of sheets and a pewter charger. Wife Eme to pay William, Margaret and Elizabeth their goods when they come to the age of 16 years, and should any of them die before that age, then their legacies to be divided among the survivors. Residue to wife Eme Reysley, and she to be sole executrix, with supervisor Richard Wilshire the elder. Witnesses Richard Piggot, Thomas Blake, Thomas Sprynge, Steven Canon and sir Adam Dixson.
