    Soul to almighty God, our lady Saint Mary and all the company of heaven, and body to be buried in the church of St. Nicolas of Barton, and she bequeaths to the high altar of Barton for tithes and offerings forgotten 20d. and to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. To Joies Day a cow, 5 sheep, a pan, a mattress, a coverlet, a bolster, a pair of blankets, 2 pair of sheets, 3 platters and a candlestick. To Amie the daughter of Christopher Crowche a cow, 2 ewes and to Amie the daughter of William Crowche a cow, a platter, a paire of sheets. To Alis the daughter of John Burges 2 platters, a pair of sheets. To William the son of John Burges 3 sheep, a quarter of barley. “To the Resydue of my children’s children unmarried and [?]unmarried 2 sheep a piece”. To testator’s sister Katheryne 13s. 4d.. To testator’s daughter Elizabeth’s three children dwelling in Werysley 13s. 4d. a piece. To every poor householder in Barton a peck of barley when harvest is home,and to the poor folks of Stretley parish 20d. and to John Rude of Hexton half a quarter of barley when harvest is home. To Joane the wife of William Warton of Stretley a kercher. To testator’s godson Richard Burnam 3 sheep; to Elen Amyte a petticoat; to Alis Holder a smock. Residue to her son John Burges who is to be sole executor. Witnesses Richard Lawndre priest, Edmund Wyngat gentleman, William Hawkyns, Richard Burnam.
