    Folio 78 - Richard Lame of Cardington made 1 May pr. 19 May 1557. Soul to almighty God, our lady St. Mary and all the holy company of heaven, and burial in churchyard of Cardington. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 20d.; to mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the upkeep of the bells 8d.. To son Thomas Lambe at the age of 18 a yoke of the best oxen. To son John Lame at the age of 18 years 2 steers. To daughter Anne Lambe at Michaelmas next a “brouckel” cow. To daughter Alis Lambe at the age of 18 a brown cow. To son William 2 quarters of barley at the age of 13. The share of any child dying before receiving their legacy to be divided between the survivors. After children have been brought up, residue to wife Joane Lamb, sole executrix, and supervisors John Ruttolle and Richard Tite. Witnesses sir John Stanley curate, John Rattell, Richard Tite.
