    Folio 64 - Thomas Brian of Asplei Gwise made 1 Sep. 1556 pr. 26 Feb. 1556/7 Soul to almighty God, our blessed lady and the holy company of heaven, and burial in churchyard of Asplye Gwise. To the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar for tithes forgotten 12d.; to the bells 12d.. Wife Margeret to have house with all appurtenances for the years of testator’s copy, yielding and paying to testator’s son-in-law Philip Garret the 5 nobles which remain unpaid of the four marks which testator promised to be paid at the marriage of his daughter Jhoan. To son-in-law Thomas Andridge 40s. in the next two years. To son William Brian within the next three years £3, that is 20s. a year, and to daughter Philippa Brian 40s. in the next two years. To wife Margaret all household stuff. Residue to wife Margeret who is sole executrix to use for his soul , and the overseers to be Richard Stratton parson of Asplie Gwise and testator’s brother John Sele of Harlington. Witnesses Henry Franklen and William Franklen.
