Folio 60d - Henry Smithe of Middilton Brian, husbandman, made 10 Mar 1555 pr. 26 Feb. 1556. Soul to almighty God, our lady St. Mary and the holy company of heaven, and burial in churchyard of Middelton Brian. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 4d.; to mother church of Lincoln 2d.; toward the buying of a chalice for Middelton Brian church 6s. 8d.. To son John Smithe all his copyhold lands and tenements. To son Henrie Smith £11 13s. 4d.. To son Richard Smith £6 13s. 4d.. To daughter Elizabeth Lucye testator’s featherbed and the bolster. To daughter Elen Conisbie his best coat and hat, and half a quarter of malt. To servant Agnes Arris a bullock to be given her on the day of his death, or on the day of her marriage, if she remains his servant. To servant Agnes Osburne a sheep. Residue to son John Smith, he to do for souls of testator and all Christians as he thinks best, and executors to be sons John and Henry Smith, and Henry to have for his work three couple of sheep. Overseers to be sons Robert and John Smith, each to have 6s. 8d.. Witnesses Thomas Wood, John Bonar, Robert Cart.
