    Folio 40 - John Kendall [no place given] made 2 July 2 & 3 Philip and Mary 1556 pr. 7 Oct. 1556. To the high altar 6d. and for tithes forgotten 6d.; to the bells 12d.; to the mending of the high ways 12d. To son Thomas £6 13s. 4d.. To son Henry £6 13s. 4d.. To son John £6 13s. 4d., the shod cart, the “myddelm’ “ cart and 2 bullocks one of which to be a milch cow. To Agnes Kendall and Jelian Kendall his daughters in ready money £6 13s. 4d. and to each a 2 year old bullock to be given them within a year of testator’s death. To wife Margery all household stuff for her lifetime and she to bestow this as she wills. To wife Margery and to sons Robert and William all testators horses and his lease and all the grain in the fields. Residue to be divided between these three, and they are to occupy the land together for one year. To son Water Kendall £5 and two three year old bullocks to be given to him within a year of testator’s death. If one of sons Thomas, John, Harry or Water die before they have their stock given to them, then the other 3 to be his heirs. Should wife, or sons William and Robert, die while they are running the farm together, then each to be each other’s heirs. To wife Margaret and to son William all the rest of his goods, and they to be executors, and Water Gray to be supervisor. Witnesses Water Gray, John Astyke, John Sheppard and John Chandler.
