- TitleFolio 20d - John Franklyn of Litlington made n.d., pr.30 Oct, 1556. “I bequeth my soule to allmighty god and the holy company of heavin “ and burial in the parish church of Litelington . To the repair of the said church 2s.; and to mother church of Lincoln 2d.. To wife Agnes all his copyhold or house where he lives with all lands, meadows, pastures and feedings belonging to it in Litlington, for the term of her life, and on her death the property is to go to his son Thomas Franklin and his issue, and for lack of such heirs the estate is to be sold by John Lyon gentleman and Thomas Wright and the money to be spent as follows: to every one of testator’s daughters then living £3 6s. 8d., and if any daughter has died then her money to be divided between her children, if any; £10 is to be spent on the highways within the parish of Litelington; £6 to be given to the poor of Littelington, Marsom, Mylbrooke, Amthill, Stepunlley, and Ridgemond. Residue of money “to be gyven for my sowlle and all Christian sowlles to be prayed for.” Should son Thomas live and survive testator’s wife then he is to pay testator’s daughters Johanna and Ellyn 26s. 8d. each, and pay testator's daughter Katerin 20s.; and give a quarter of barley each of his other three daughters Margaret, Agnes and Elyzabeth. Residue to wife Agnes, sole executrix. Witnesses John Lyon, Thomas Wright, Henry Archer, Christopher Middelton, Harry Ody.
