    Folio 12 - William Coites of Astwike, miller, made 18 June 1555 pr. 26 June [?]1556. “First I bequeth my sowlle to the holy trinitie to our blessedLadye sent Marye and to all the holye company of havien” and burial in the churchyard of Astwike. Executors brother Richard Coites of Walden and cousin John Philipe of Stotfold, who are asked to be good to testator’s wife Marian and his children. To wife Marione and to son Henry and his heirs, half his household stuff between them, and the other half of his household stuff to his four children by his first wife. To the children by his first wife Joane the lease of his mill, and wife Mariane and son Henry to have 40s. out of the same lease toward Henry’s bringing up together with his red bullock. To his four other children the other bullock. To the children by his first wife his malt mill. To his wife and Harrye his son 45s. which is owed testator by John Adames of Baldocke. To his daughter Agnes the debt of 12s.owed to testator by Edward [?]Planke. To children by first wife the 5 nobles owed him by Edmund Christins of Blumham, also the 15s. lent to William Sqiere of Arlessey. To son William his violet coat being at home, and wife to have 10s.. To the church of Astwike 20d and to his godchildren at Baldoke and elsewhere 4d. each. Each executor to have 5s. 6d..
