- TitleFolio 8d - Richard Barnes of Todington made 8 Sep. pr. 7 Sept. 1556 [sic]. “First I bequeth my soule to almightye God my body to be buried in the parishe church yard of Todington”. To mother church of Lincoln 2d., to the high altar a bushel of barley. To his sons Raff and Richard 20s. each. To daughter Als the biggest pan in the house. To daughter Jonne a bushel of barley. To son Bartillmew one acre of land in every field ready tilled to his hand, finding seed yearly. All the children heirs of each other, “and the last liver to have all”. To his son William his copyholding. All his goods to son William and wife Joane, who are executors, to dispose “for my soule and my frendes”. Should wife remarry then she to have half the goods ”the teme exeptyd” and William to remain to enjoy the copyholding by himself. Witnesses Mathew Dawson, curate there, Joone Cuflye.
