    “I bequeth my soule to be in the company of the blessed virgin Marie our Ladye and all the saintes in heaven” and burial in the churchyard of Alhalowse in Midelton Hernes. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar of Midellton 3s. 4d.. To eldest son John Ridell her house and all her lands arable and otherwise except the [?]3 roods of arable in Middelton which she has given to her second son Robert Riddell as appears plainly in a certain deed. John is to enjoy the house and land which is to be kept “tennant lyke” for the term of his life, and on his death the house and land to go to testator’s second son Robert Ryddell for the term of his life, and on his death property to go to testator’s youngest son William and his heirs and assigns. Should sons not accept her wishes and litigate against one another, then her house and the other property to be sold for as much as William Linford and Robert Bulle (her sons in law) can get for them, and the money received to be divided between her three sons. Residue between her three sons, who are to be her executors, with Robert Bulle and William Linford supervisors, each to have 12d..
