Statement from Nehemiah Smith, Principal Teacher of the Biggleswade Boys Board School that Thomas Bryant did not attend school on 19 April 1877 and that he had only made 3 attendances during the 8 weeks in which the school had been open previous to the 21 April 1877. Request of George Mosely, School Attendance Inspector for Biggleswade, at Arlesey that Rhoda Brooker of Biggleswade, parent of Thomas Bryant, be summoned to appear before the Justices of the Peace. He swore that he did not see the mother as the child lived with the grandmother generally.
