John Battle, Labourer at the Oil Mill, said that he went up to Mardlins Public House with James and George Odell and had some beers. They left there and went to the Kings Public House and had 4 pints of beer there. They went along the Ridgeway and took several gates off their hinges and broke one of them and threw a roller upside down. Letter from Henry Dillamore of The Hatch, Northill to Inspector Bedlow. PC Little from Blunham had been to see him about 1 of his gates which had been broken in two. Fine £1. Costs 9/6 or 3 weeks. Prison without a fine.
