He was on duty in Wrestlingworth when he saw William Matthews, Labourer of Wrestlingworth, drunk and making a great disturbance. He refused to go home. When the PC Birch took hold of his arm, Matthews grabbed the policeman's neck and tried to throw him on the road. He took him to Biggleswade. William Bunhan witnessed the occurrence and assisted PC Birch . Fine 5/6. Costs 9/6 or 14 days hard labour.
