  • Title
    Information of PC Robert King Stearn stationed at Arlesey. He had recieved information that David Clark, Farmer and Dealer of Arlesey had boutht a calf at Hitchin Market and had conveyed it in his cart from Hitchin to Arlesey. David Clark confirmed this and said that he had taken a fat calf with him and sold it and bought another one at Mr Jackson's Sales. When PC Stearn told him there was an order against removing any cattle from Hertfordshire into Bedfordshire he said enquired of Mr Jackson if there was any problem and he replied that he had not received any notice. David Clark said that he had also asked a Policeman in the Market if there was an Order against removing cattle out of Hertfordshire into Bedfordshire and he said he had not heard anything about it. Pleaded guilty. Dismissed with a caution.
