Letter from R.Hammond of Manor Farm, Fenny Stratford [Buckinghamshire] to Mr. R. Hobourn… ‘Have enclosed a/c’s as promised, we owe Mr. Wigley about £25 for grass keeping, we asked him to send the account to you, which he is going to do; then is £10 wages due to two house boys who have board and lodgings. Mrs. Stokes has paid us rent up to March 25th 1902, thought we had better let you know. We saw Mr. Wigley yesterday, he is going to do the valuing next Wednesday, if he cannot write that night, he says he will telegraph the figures to you on Thursday morning’.
