    Case for the opinion of council concerning John Millins, deceased: - John Millins late of Cheddington [Buckinghamshire] grocer and provision dealer by his will dated 31st May 1894 left all his real and personal estate unto his wife Mary Ann Millins and made her sole executor; - John died on the 19th Oct 1894; - John, at his death was entitled to a freehold orchard at Cheddington subject to a mortgage of £700 in favour of Albert Mead now residing at Tring [Buckinghamshire]; - Miss Turney in the lifetime of John advanced him a sum of £200 and interest was paid after John’s death by his widow; - Mr Glover in the lifetime of John advanced him a sum of £100 - Mr Albert Mead also advanced Mrs. Millins, widow £300; - … ‘Miss Turney through her Solicitor Mr. Tanqueray now claims to be paid this sum in full on the ground that she was a creditor of the late John Millins and that his estate has never been fully administered’; - … ‘Counsel will please to advise whether Miss Turney is entitled to be paid in priority to Mr. Albert Mead and Mr. Glover (the latter claims may be barred by statute) and also to advise Mr. Mead and the executrix the proper course for them to pursue in dealing with the surplus proceeds of sale of the Orchard’. - drawn up by Nicholson & Crouch of 17 Surrey Street, Strand [London] agents for Newton & Calcott of Leighton Buzzard, Beds, solicitor.
