    Abstract of the title of the children of Sarah Shaw, deceased to five cottages and premises at Woburn: Reciting: (I) R6/63/23/10-11; (II) R6/63/23/12; (III) will of Arthur Rock late of Woburn, blacksmith dated 2nd Oct 1795 whereby he devised all his property in Woburn, Husborne Crawley, Aspley Guise and Ridgmont and elsewhere in Bedfordshire unto and equally amongst all his children living at his decease, and Arthur appointed his brother Henry Rock and son in law John Circuitt as joint executors; (IV) will of Henry Rock dated 5th Jul 1799 whereby he appointed his nephew Henry Rock and John Circuitt executors; (V) Deed to declare the uses of a fine dated 22nd Dec 1802 between (1) Henry Rock of Woburn, Beds, farmer (2) William Rock of Woburn, yeoman and Mary his wife (3) Robert Rock of Stoney Stratford [Buckinghamshire], blacksmith and Margaret his wife (4) George Rock of Woburn, carrier (5) Samuel Rock of Woburn, yeoman (6) Susannah Rock of Woburn, spinster (7) John Circuitt of Woburn, yeoman and Elizabeth his wife (late Elizabeth Rock, spinster) (8) Thomas Shaw of Woburn, auctioneer. Reciting: - the said children of Arthur Rock agreed to make a division and partition of the said estates whereby the property (the subject of this abstract) was assigned to the only proper use and behoof of (1). Covenants: -… ‘(1) to keep the tiles part of the gutter or valley between the said house No.26 in the Great yard in the occ[upati]on of James Hopkins & the said house No.27 in the Great Yard th[ere]to adj[oinin]g in the occ[upati]on of John Jeromes’; (VI) Final Concord dated 1802 between Thomas Shaw (plaintiff) and Henry, William, Robert, George, Samuel, Susannah and John Circuitt and Elizabeth his wife (deforciants); (VII) Will of Henry Rock dated 21st Jul 1827 whereby he devised the said property unto his brother in law John Circuitt and Elizabeth his wife; (VIII) Will of John Circuitt dated 8th Mar 1832 whereby he devised the said property unto his eldest son Richard and his heirs upon condition that if Richard died without issue then the property would be devised between the children of his late daughter Sarah Shaw; Extra notes included: - Richard Circuitt died in 1843 unmarried and without heir; - the five children of Sarah Shaw living at Richard’s decease were: John Circuitt Shaw, Sarah Shaw, Joseph Shaw, Henry Shaw and Mary Shaw now wife of Henry Lucas; - said John Circuitt Shaw is now residing at Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope; - power of attorney at R6/63/23/13; - heavily annotated with handwritten notes; - abstracted by Green of Woburn, Beds, solicitor for vendor with handwritten notes made by Wing & Twining, solicitors for purchaser.
