Letter from Samuel Barnard to Swaffield, enclosing SF51/16. States that the man Prentice sent to take up the pump has fouled a well of water – it has 3ft of chaff and dirt in it. Suggests that Swaffield write to Prentice suggesting he is liable for damage to the well -–'perhaps that will shut him up’
