Declaration for redemption of Land Tax Declaration by Theed Pearse the elder, gent of Bedford, that he has resided in Bedford for over 47 years and from 1798 for 13 years he was Clerk to the Commissioners for the Redemption of the Land Tax in Bedford. Recites that JWA and the surviving Trustee of his marriage settlement have conveyed the Hassetts estate and the Green Dragon to TGE; it was previously devised to Rev JWA by the will of Harris Thurloe Brace, esq Includes extracts from the Land Tax for Bedford St Paul for 1798, 1799 and 1836 showing HTB's properties, the occupiers and the sums assessed
