Agreement: Lease between 1) George Palmer, gent of Goldington on behalf of Harris Thurloe Brace esq and 2) John Mowbray, gardener of Bedford (1) demises to (2) for £20 pa for 18 years from 5 April (a) messuage in St Paul, Bedford lately occupied by John Whitehouse, gardener, now by (2) with the garden ground adjoining also occupied by (2) with all outhouses, barns, etc (2) is to repair, glaze and uphold the messuages and fences, with rough timber, bricks, tiles and lime being found and delivered by (1) except if fire or violent winds blow down a building; and (1) agrees that it shall be lawful after the term of 18 years for (2) to remove any buildings and erections he has set up, to dig up fruit trees in the garden except the cherry trees which belong to (1), likewise all stock and crop
