    Account Book Of £40 given by Thos Mathews of Tudington [Toddington], Beds. "but at what time I never could learn" Ed Chester said it was given to Jn Crook & Jn Rush & some other friend (as Trustees for poor friends of Bedfordshire) to buy land - in fact lent on interest. Lent to 1) Daniel Hobbs of Sundon at 4½% to 1711 2) Jn Robinse marrying his widow - at 5% Edw Chester had raised £10 by the interest gained Lent to 1) Thos Brydon of Market St. without interest - repaid 2) John Robinse at interest till 1722 3) Martha Fallowfeed of Langford without interest. Trustees after Ed Chester were Jn Chester, Jn Gamble & Chris Bennell. ACCOUNTS:- 1704-1735 & 1748-1763. Notes. ink "this money now laid out in land" Pencil "This £40 is supposed to be laid out in land in Malden". See FR25/7/1-3
