  • Title
    Occurrence Report of Police Constable George Dixon, stationed at Henlow. He was on duty in Langford at 10pm when he saw, George Rutt, John Roberts, and Frederick Roberts, all labourers of Langford, on the highway opposite the Crown Public House. They were all stripped and fighting in the street. The Constable asked them to go away quietly. Frederick Roberts, replied, 'I shall knock your B... head off if you come near me'. John Roberts was stripped to the skin and was about to pull off his trousers and swearing he would go home naked. Frederick Roberts was in the road swearing he would fight any fifteen men in Langford. The Constable said they were all drunk and riotous and it took him nearly an hour and a half before he could get them away. George Rutt fined 6 pence. Costs 13/6 or 14 days.
