    Copy of will of James Purton of Totternhoe, farmer,to son in law, John Pratt, Totternhoe, farmer, and daughter, Elizabeth Purton and friend Robert Gadsden, Eaton Bray, farmer. - All personal estate possessed at his death (except 600owed by said John Pratt)on trust that during continuance of the lease of the farm belonging to the Lockington trustees, they carry on the farming business active management of farm to be left to said daughter and said John Pratt. She undertaking duties she now performs and he the duties previously performed by testator Daughter to reside at farmhouse and to receive all things necessary for her maintenance, clothing etc During same period daughter Frances, the wife of John Turvey and her children shall be allowed to live at the farmhouse and be supported and educated, provided said John Turvey (who is living apart from his wife) does not return to live with her. To John Pratt for his management of the business 10 p.a.When business discontinued, trustees to convert all personal estate into ready money to hold in trust for 5 daughters, Caroline wife of John Pratt, Elizabeth Purton, Mary Ann the wife of William Ridgway, Sarah wife of James Alfred Beart and Frances, wife of said John Turvey, as tenants in common in equalshares. To daughter Elizabeth Purton and Robert Gadsden 600 owing by John Pratt in trust for Caroline the wife of said John Pratt, for life, and then for her children If money repaid during testators lifetime then said Elizabeth Purton and Robert Gadsden,are to hold it as part of personal estate in trusts hereinbefore declared. To use of Caroline Pratt and then of her children piece of land in Eaton Field, Eaton Bray (4a 1r 16p) adjoining lands of William Turvey and James Roberts (being piece of land allotted to testator on Eaton Bray inclosure in lieu of land purchased of late Thomas Turvey) Said piece of land charged with payment of 150 to daughter Mary Ann Ridgway, Aylesbury, Bucks, to be paid as soon as Caroline Pratt obtains possession of said land from trustees. To said Mary Ann Ridgeway, 150 To said Mary Ann Ridgway for life: 3 cottages at Totternhoe purchased of - Dightham, now occupied by John Linney and others pieces land (6a) lying dispersedly in open fields of Parish of Totternhoe and purchased of Mr Dightham. After her death to her children. To daughter Elizabeth Purton for life 14a in open fields of Totternhoe, The Pightle, Homestead etc and 5 cottages purchased of Thomas Pratt - 2 cottages erected by testator on said pightleand now occupied by Brooks and Stairssituate at Lower End, Totternhoe and after her death to her children. To daughter Frances Turvey for life: - 16a 2r land in open fields of Totternhoe, purchased at Miss Hunt's sale. - 2 cottages at Church End, Totternhoe, occupied by Andrews and Turvey after her decease to her children. To Sarah, wife of J A Beart for life:- 3 messuages in Victoria Street, Dunstable, occupied by James Alfred Beart and 2 others, after her decease to daughter Ada Purton and other children. To use of John Pratt, Elizabeth Purton and Robert Gadsden: - House, shop in Oxford Street, Aylesbury, Bucks on trust to apply rents and profits to bring up Ada Purton, daughter of Sarah Beart. To be assigned to her at 21. To daughters as tenants in common: - Estate and effects not hereinbefore disposed of.
