- TitleProbate of the will of James Crouch of Dunstable, Beds, bricklayer: Giving, devising & bequeathing: - My several messuages, cottages or tenements, malting hereditaments and premises situate near the Starr Inn, Dunstable which I lately purchased of my brother Thomas Crouch to my two daughters Hannah & Mary Crouch, during the respective infancy of said daughters executors are to enter into possession of the said property, receive and take rents, profits etc. and pay income to the upkeep of the property with any surplus going to my wife. - All my goods and personal estate unto my executors and trustees upon trust to sell, invest and call in if convenient and pay proceeds to wife during the infancy of my two daughters, when daughters reach the age of 21 to them in equal shares, if daughters die before 21 to my wife along with the rents and profits of my real estate, after her decease unto my sister Mary Gadbury for her life, after her decease to my heir at law. - £5 to my good friend and neighbour Peter Wight to buy him mourning. - Appointing my brother John Crouch of Dunstable, bricklayer and John Holmes of the same place, innholder to be executors and trustees. - Witnessed by Ann Willson, George Whitehead & Nehem Brandreth. - Proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Bedford on the 30th Apr 1752.
