  • Title
Letter from John Barker regarding quit rents still outstanding and requesting details of the land so that the right person may be charged. Explains 'I get scolded in many places for letting it run so long, so I proposed gathering it ever year, directly after Michaelmas if it meets Mr Veasey's approval, as I think it will do away with many difficulties as property often changes hands in the course of six or seven years, and very few, in fact hardly one of them can find their last receipt.'
