    Occurrence Report of Thomas Vincent, Sergeant of Police stationed at Potton. He was on duty on the market place Potton and heard a row in the George & Dragon Public House kept by Henry Gudgin. He went in with PC Goss and found Henry Mountain, Thomas Charter and John Kay in the passage at the bottom of the stairs. The landlord asked the police to remove them. Henry Mountain was very drunk and had a poker in his hand. Thomas Vincent ordered him to leave. He removed him and took the poker from him. The other 2 followed them out. Henry Mountain was very riotous and remained about the streets for more than an hour. Information of Henry Gudgin, Landlord of the Public House. He said that Henry Mountain, Thomas Charter, and John Kay, all of Potton, had come into the Public House earlier. Mountain was quarrellsome and drunk. Kay and charter were swearing baout Henry Scott, a photographer who lodged in his house. The Landlord ordered them to leave, they refused. He put Kay and Charter out. Mountain refused to go. Kay and Charter then came in again and all three rushed up the stairs and tried to get into Scott's room. Scott came out and prevented Mountain from entering the room andpushed him down the stairs. All three went up the stairs and Scott took up a poker to defend himself.Scott and Mountain struggled at the top of the stairs and Mountain got thepoker. The Landlord went for the Police. Sergeant Vincent and PC Goss arrived and removed them from the house.
