Letter from George Matthews of 60 Kimbolton Road, Bedford to Lieut. A.T.Lennox-Boyd, M.P., R.N.V.R. of 8a Hobart Place, London, S.W.1… 'Thank you for your letter of 12th. January, which I have received after some delay. I hope that my absence for the Mid Bedfordshire constituency will only be temporary, and in any event, as I am only just over the border, guerrilla raids will be possible even if a full-scale offensive is not. I am also looking forward to the election, but am much more concerned at present with trying to see that the war is won quickly, and that your (I hope, former) friends of the Imperial Policy Group do not delay victory too long. I much appreciate your attention in writing to me'.
