    Alys Ovyat otherwise called Blackehed of Leghton Bosard, widow, made 13 June pr. 13 Sep. 1546. Burial in the churchyard of Leighton. To the church of Lincoln 4d.. To the high altar of Leighton 12d.. To her father Thomas Perat the best gown that had belonged to her husband, and she wants the last will and testament of John Ovyat otherwise called Blackehed, her late husband, to be performed, and also the will of her late husband's father, John Blackehed, is also to be carried out. To her father Thomas Perat all the profits and rents of all the houses, tenements and lands which one belonged to her late husband John Blackehed in order to bring up and keep their children until they come to lawful age. All the corn and grain now growing on the ground, and all cattle are to be sold to pay debts and charges , To her late husband's next heir the bench board in the hall, the malt mill, the brewing lead, the portal in the hall with all the carved work therein, all to remain and not removed. To her son Robert a silver salt, a mortar being at Luton, with all the coffers, 4 silver spoons, and her best sheet. To son Thomas 4 silver spoons. To daughter Alys 4 silver spoons, testator's best girdle, and 5 pillowberes wrought with ??black silk. To her brother Robert her late husband's second gown with a velvet doublet. To her brother Edward Perat a featherbed and a buff leather coat. To her brother William Perat a featherbed. To Robert Beracle of Luton the best doublet and jacket that had belonged to her husband. To Thomas Campyon's wife a worsted kirtle "that was my mother Lawes". To Alys Blackenell testator's best worsted kirtle. To Henry Blackenell a frieze gown. To Mother Long, a widow, a gown "pursilled with shankes". To Mother Honer widow testator's frieze frock. To her sister Jone Perat a gown "pursilled with whyt shankes" and her best beads. To her brother Thomas a gold ring with a signet in it. To her mother her best gown. To her maid Margret her best wedding kirtle and a smock. To her maid Margery a black kirtle. To her servant Bisshoppe her husband's white hose and a red petticoat. To her servant Peter 3s. 4d.. Residue to be divided equally between her children, and the share of any dying under lawful age to be divided among the survivors. Should they all die, then the goods to be divided between testator's brothers and sisters, though Edward and William to have preference. Executors her brothers Robert Perat and Edward Perat, to each of whom 3s. 4d.. Her father Thomas Perat to be overseer.
