  • Title
    William Tooyereolde, husbandman, in Leighton Bosard, made 5 June pr.10 Sep.1544. Burial in churchyard of Allhallowes in Leighton. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to high altar for forgotten tithes 12d.; to a priest to say five masses for souls of testator and all Christians 20d.. To his 2 youngest daughters Alys and Audrye 10 quarters of barley divided between them, of which 5 are to be delivered at Sanct Michaelles day next, and the other 5 at Sanct Michaelles day twelvemonth. To his two youngest daughters Alys and Audrye four acres of copyhold arable land to be divided between them after the death of testator's wife Alys, but if wife needs to sell the said four acres of arable, then she is to sell it to the daughters for 40s.. Should either of these two youngest daughters die without issue, then the four acres go to the survivor To son in law Thomas Corbe 6s. 8d.. Wife Alys to be sole executrix, and Richard Gurney to be overseer, he to have for his work 3s. 4d.. Residue to wife Alys. Witnesses sir Robert Gefferson priest, Richard Gurney, Henry Gurney.
