- TitleEdmund Man of Leghton Boserd husbandman, made 4 June, pr. 10 July 1545. Burial in the churchyard of Leighton. To the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar of Leghton for tithes forgotten 12d.; to the Corpus Christi Gild 6d.. To each of his brother's children 4d.. To his wife's brother William Allen his best coat. To the town of Leghton testator's house in the Leckeend next to his head house, of which the rent is valued at 12s. a year, and the rent is to be used in deeds of pity and charity most needful and necessary for testator and his friends. The town of Leighton is to have a mass and dirige said for souls of testator, his father and mother, and all Christians for ever. Residue to wife Elzabeth who is to be his executrix, with William Gibson overseer, he to have for his work 20d. Witnesses sir Thomas Pekereinge, William Allen, Henry Toppeing, Thomas Freman, with others.
