    Deposition by George Daniels, police sergeant at Shefford and summons against Mrs Harriet Edmonds of Commercial Street, Middlesex for obstructing the fee passage of the highway, Shefford with 15 Wild Beast Vans etc 'placed in Bridge Street for exhibition.' 'The vans remained in the street from 1 pm on Monday the 10th until 7.30 am the following day and covered a distance of 55 yards along the street and 15 1/2 yards across and left 4 1/2 yards with the water channel included from the vans to the pavement for coveyances to pass.' William Henry Hillyard, surgeon and William Caton complained. Days appointed for fairs at Shefford being January 23rd, April 6th, May 19th and October 11th and market days Friday. Fine and costs.
