  • Scope and Content
    "I bequeth my soull to Allmeghtie God" and his burial in the churchyard of Eyton. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the poor men's box 2d.; to the highways 3s. 4d. to be used within the next 2 years. To his son Thomas Burre a two year old red heifer and a ewe pux. Sons William, Richard and John Burre, and daughters Jone and Agnes are each to have a two year old cow bullock. Each of his 6 children is to have half a quarter of barley to be given them two years after his death His wife Elezabeth is to have testator's "hole grownde" that is 2 tenements with all their lands within the fields of Eyton for the term of her life, and on her death the house where testator dwells called Burrs Place is to go to his son Thomas, and the other tenement in the east end adjoining to a close called Cowpers late William Domons and the land going with it to go to son William charged with the payment to his brother Richard of 40s. within three years. Residue to Elzabeth his wife who is executrix "she to disspose for my Soull and All Cristen soulles as she shall thingke moste necessary". Witnesses Richard Buckemaster, William Sowell, Raffe Welles, Edmund Cooke, Thomas Croker.
