  • Scope and Content
    "I bequeth my soull to Allmeghtie God And to his great marcy" and burial in the churchyard of Sutton. To young John Auwodd/Anwodd 16 acres of land and mead lying in Potton Filde, and also £7 8s. 4d. that John Awoode the elder owes testator. To the young John Awode also 7 quarter of barley and 2 quarter of wheat and 3 kine, 5 pair of sheets, 2 table cloths, 2 towels, 2 brass pots, 6 pewter platters, 3 pewter dishes, 2 salt cellars, 2 candlesticks, a coverlet, a bolster, a gridiron, a bowl, 2 tubs, a coffer and a woollen spinning wheel. To young John Awood all that testator has in Sutton and elsewhere, and he is to be the sole executor. Witnesses Davy Gylman, William Curtes, Thomas Freman, John Browneing.
