    "I bequeth my soull to Allmieghtye God to the blessed Virgen Mary and to All the compeny of heven " and burial in churchyard of Turvey. To the poor men's box 4d.; to "Master parson of Turvey my curat in the discharge of my conscence for tythes and other dewghteis Forgotten " 12d.. To wife Elene all household stuff "that I do not bequeth to hir and hir assynes" . Also to the same Elene his wife 5 kine, the best she will choose, also the whole crop of corn of this year's growing, on condition that she is to sow the next tilth and pease ley for testator's son William Sprote to his use and profit, and she is to have out of the same crop half an acre of wheat, 2 acres of barley and one acre of pease. To son John Sprote 4 acres of barley, 2 acres of pease at the discretion of executors, and to John also testator's brown horse which he bought of Peter Gylpyn', a shod cart, and a year old cow bullock To son William Sprote 4 horses, the best shod cart with cart gear, plough and plough gear, and all other implements pertaining to testator's husbandry. Also 2 steers and a cow (the best next to his mother's). To daughter Margret Clarke 20s. in money to be paid by William Skeventon and William Nicelles "as they shall se hir have nede by there discrestions" and to her also a ewe and a lamb. To daughter Elenor 2 coffers priced at 3s. 4d., also a cupboard priced at 12s., a bedstead, a mattress, a bolster, 2 pillows, a covering "darneckes" [dornyx], a brass pot, a kettle, "2 theyles to make a table of", a form, a chair, a cow the best next the one to William, also half a quarter of malt, a bushel of wheat, and a kirtle "mayde Redy to hir backe". To daughter Edeth 26s. 8d. in money and a cow the best next Elenor. To daughter Elzabeth Bett a heifer the best next Edeth, and to Henry Bett the best weaned calf. To William Clarke the son of Edmund Clarke a heifer. To Grace Clarke a weaned calf. To every godchild 4d.. To the repair of Turvey Brege 6s. 8d.. The residue to wife Elen so that she can fulfil his last will and testament "and breing my body honestely to the grownde distributeing the day of my buryall to the poore people of Turvey to the sum of 6s. 8d.." Executors William Skeyvinton and William Nicolles, who are to have 20d. each and Thomas Stevenson to be supervisor, and he to have 20d.. Witnesses Thomas Bett, Richard Adams, John Anderson priest.
