    "I bequeth my soull to God and to our blessed lady and all the compeny of heven" and burial in the churchyard of Studham. 26s. 8d. to be distributed among poor people immediately after testator's death. To eldest daughter Agnes his house and all his lands and leases whatsoever they be. To daughter Margreat £15 in money, a mattress, a coverlet, a bolster, a pillow, 2 pair of sheets, 2 pewter dishes, a candlestick, and a salt cellar. To daughter Alys £15 in money, a mattress, a coverlet, a bolster, a pillow, 2 pair of sheets, a pewter dish, a candlestick and a salt cellar, and each to have the bedding left to them on the day of their marriage. He wishes that £10 of the money is to be paid to Margreat and Alys within three months, if that may conveniently be done, or shortly afterwards., and the other £20 to be paid 20s. a year to each of them to be used by them at their own discretion by the counsel of their friends, and what remains to be paid them on their marriage day. If any daughter die before marriage, then the remainder of their legacy to be divided between the two remaining sisters, and if two die then all to go to the third daughter. Should daughter Agnes die without a lawful heir of her body, then his lands are to go to his daughter Margreat, who is then to give to Alys 40s., and if Margreat then dies without a lawfully begotten heir, then property to go to Alis. Neither Margret nor Alys are to make any claim on testator's lands on the day of their marriage or afterwards, but they are to seal an acquittance or release of their title if requested by his executrix. Should either refuse to do this, then their respective legacies are void, and what has been paid them is to be forfeited. To every godchild 4d.. To William Bradwen his blue coat. To Thomas Bradwen a ewe lamb. Residue to daughter Agnes, sole executrix, with Thomas Bemont overseer, to whom 3s. 4d. for his work. "I also desyre master Vicar to be good to my childerne and to geve them consell at all tymes and to have for his paynes 12d.."
