    "I bequeth my Soull to Allmeghtie god and to his gret mercy" and his body to be buried in the churchyard of Dunton. To John Barbor the elder and to his assigns one tenement called Canons with 20 ½ and one rood of arable land in the fields of Dunton. To John Barbor the younger 2 horse, 2 "hocson" and 10 quarter of barley. To William Barbor the copyhold that Thomas Belche lives in and also the copyhold called Langold. To Jerard Barbor the copyhold that John Child lives in. When one of them die, then the next eldest to have his copyholding. To every godchild 4s.. To every householder in the parish who does not have a plough, to "have contennually iiij yere a Cristemmas a pecke of wheete and a pecke of malte" and at Easter a peck of wheat and a peck of malt. To every child of "my systers" a quarter of barley. To his sister's son William Martin the russet coat. To John Leght his coat and also 6 ewe sheep. To John Barbor the younger his black hose. To William Barbor his white hose. To wife Jone 4 kine, 2 "hocson" , one horse and 2 bullocks, and enough sheep to make 20. She is to have yearly for 10 years 13s. 4d.. Mary Potter to have a quarter of malt. Testator gives to John Barbor the younger 3s. 4d. "to take payn with his father". Residue to his executors who are John Barbor the elder and John Barbor the younger. Witnesses sir Robert Burdewe curate, William Barford, Richard Caryngton, John Child.
