Scope and Content
Soul to God, St. Mary and the holy company of heaven, and burial in the churchyard of Toternehoo. To the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the Pore Manns box 4d..
To wife Agnes while she remains a widow, his house and his land for the term of her life, but if she remarry, then Thomas Hensman is to have the house and land, and give his mother each year for 5 years 26s. 8d..
Wife to have 6s. 8d. a year for her natural life for her marriage part. To son Robert Hensman £3 6s. 8d. and in order to pay this sum wife Agnes to have all the quit rents that belong to testator's house for the 10 years immediately after testator's death, and son Robert to have the money within 7 years of testator's death. To Robert Hensman a ewe to be given him as his mother's choice.
To Margret Wenlocke a sheep to be given her immediately after testator's death. To Thomas Hensman a ewe and a lamb to be given him on testator's death. To daughters Agnes, Jone and Elzabeth Hensman a ewe and a lamb each, to be given them within 2 years of testator's death, "And to eche of them an ambery to be mayd of the great oock [oak]" at the cost of wife Agnes and Thomas Hensman.
Remainder to wife Agnes, the sole executrix, and John Hensman to be supervisor.
